Located at the end of the Manhattan Beach Pier, the Roundhouse Aquarium serves as Oceanographic Teaching Stations educational facility. Inside are both viewing and touch tanks each displaying a brilliant selection of marine fish and invertebrates! There’s also a kid’s area with books and puzzles.

The Roundhouse Aquarium is the best place to educate kids about the ocean and the environment. The Roundhouse is FREE! However, your donations allow us to operate this wonderful facility.

Imagine spending your summer days at the beach, listening to the ocean waves, engaging children of all ages with fun and educational science activities. As a Junior Camp Counselor, you can use your time to inspire our younger generations and teach them the wonders of the ocean. To join our Summer Camp Crew, review our requirements, fill out the online application, and attend both training sessions.

Summer Junior Camp Counselors are required to commit to working Monday through Friday from 8:15 am – 12:30 pm for at least 3 weeks of camp. Volunteers who are interested need to take initiative, be responsible, and be able to work in a fast paced environment. Because Junior Camp Counselors work closely supervising young children, it is necessary to be enthusiastic, creative, and alert. Junior Camp Counselors must be at least 16 years of age.

This is a really cute little aquarium located at the end of the pier. Admission is free (though donations are recommended), and they show fish from the local area. There’s also a few tanks where you can touch the sea life and learn a lot about sea life.

Something nice to do while you’re on the waterfront but I wouldn’t drive out to Manhattan Beach just to see the marine life here. but they had a nice assortment of marine life and you can even touch some of them. There are two floors. There’s a cute little kids area upstairs with a small table and chairs with stuffed animals and puzzles. The staff were friendly. It’s a very small place and tight fit so I’d recommend going right before closing around sunset which is when we went.

This Roundhouse Aquarium in Manhattan Beach is home of a good variety of sea creatures! Comprised of two floors, it got an education play area for kids, and a touch pool where visitors can feel the sea life actually.
